Walking is one of the best things you can do for your health. It’s good for every part of your body. It gets your blood flowing and is therefor good for your cardiovascular system, cognitive function, immune system, metabolism, and much more. It’s something we can easily incorporate more of into our lives. Park further out in the parking lot, take the stairs, purposely walk back and forth to either sides of the store as you’re shopping, walk in places where you enjoy the scenery such as a mall, museum or park. You can walk on a treadmill while watching tv, listening to music or reading. Some people find that using a pedometer encourages them to walk more.
