We’ve all heard that colors can create different feelings. Red revs us up and increases our appetites. Blue makes us feel calm, tranquil and promotes sleep. And yellow energizes and makes us feel happy? Yes! Colors really do affect our health and how we feel. Be aware of the colors around you and what they do to you. Colors can be healing in many situations. I purchased a fun yellow nail polish and was so excited to wear it but I had been going through a very difficult and painful situation and didn’t feel “happy”, therefor was not in the mood to wear this “happy” color. This went on for a few weeks. Then I decided to try it anyway. Color me crazy, but I seriously felt my mood lifting as I painted my nails with this bright, cheery color. Every time I looked at it, I had no choice but to feel excited and uplifted. I started to think about all the antidepressant, mood lifting supplements and even prescription medications that are this same bright color. This is no coincidence. This is real! So I guess when we want to feel calm, we should paint our nails blue? And red when we want to feel sexy? And pink when we want to feel feminine? Nail color isn’t just fashionable, it’s therapeutic as well!
