Rosemary has so many health benefits and there are probably many we don’t even know of yet. As we know, anything that we apply to our skin makes it into our bloodstream. And anything we inhale makes it into our brain quicker than even injecting it into our bloodstream. So you see how easy it is to get these benefits from rosemary by applying and inhaling rosemary oil. Not to mention how delicious it is to cook with! Rosemary is energizing and uplifting but can also promote relaxation. It elevates our mood, improves our memory and protects our brain from diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Rosemary has anticancer, antibacterial, anti inflammatory, anti aging and pain relieving properties. It’s even used to increase hair growth and slow hair graying. Rosemary freshens breath and freshens air. Rosemary can increase circulation, improve digestive and respiratory systems and aid in detoxifying the liver. It’s wonderful anti aging properties are due to it’s ability to increase circulation and cell regeneration. I love using rosemary oil in a diffuser as well as in my body scrub and foot powder recipes. Simply substitute rosemary oil instead of the other essential oils in the recipes or get creative with blending it with other essential oils. I also love cooking with fresh rosemary! The chopped leaves are so good in dipping oil, roasted potatoes, and in bread. A simple trick is to slice some bread, sprinkle chopped fresh rosemary between the slices and drizzle with olive oil. Warm in oven and enjoy!
