Oat Flour can be substituted in most recipes that call for All Purpose Flour. Oat Flour is a healthy alternative that is nutritious, high in fiber and gluten free (be sure to use gluten free oats). Purchasing Oat Flour can be fairly expensive but if you purchase Old Fashioned Oats, you can quickly and easily make your own for a fraction of the price. Simply put the oats in a food processor or blender and process/blend until it is a smooth flour consistency. Voila!
Store them in a sealed baggie or container in the refrigerator or freezer to keep fresh.
