Probiotics are a very important part of our diet, especially if we’ve had our appendix removed. In the past, we heard that our appendix served no purpose. This is a pretty ridiculous assumption. If it’s a part of our body, it’s there for a reason. It is now known that our appendix stores healthy bacteria to feed to our digestive system. So if we don’t have an appendix, it’s even more crucial that we get probiotics from our diet. Probiotic supplements are a quick and easy way to get a large dose of probiotics into our system. You can also get smaller amounts from fermented foods such as sauerkraut and yogurt. Probiotics help us to have a healthier immune system which means we get sick less often, especially with stomach ailments. Probiotics are healthy bacteria that keep bad bacteria under control. This means we will have less chance of getting urinary tract infections, yeast infections, and much more. Probiotics keep our digestive system working better which helps diminish bloating and other digestive issues as well as helping with weight loss.
